Bloody Baron

I have two leads to go on, the Witch - The Ladies of the Wood - and the Bloody Baron. If he really was of help to her, perhaps he can provide me with something, anything to point me towards Ciri. All I am armed with is a sighting, and the knowledge he took her in her time of need.

Riding up to Crows Perch, it’s more than just a keep, it is practically an entire town. I approached and found a merchant just off the bridge over the moat. He had the following Gwent Cards for sale: Nilfgaardian Empire Serrikanian Fire Scorpion, Nilfgaardian Empire Impera Brigade Guard, Nilfgaardian Empire Nusicaa Cavalry Rider, and a Nilfgaardian Empire Albrich; I asked and he agreed to play a few rounds of Gwent. I won a Socia’teal Havekar Smuggler off of him. My first Socia’teal card.

Upon entry there are posters everywhere, the Baron pleading for help finding his wife and daughter - although none of the peasants seem particularly bothered. After getting passed the main gate, a man called Sergeant led me straight to the Baron himself. Although, for a father and husband in search of his family, he seemed rather unbothered by all of it.

At first, we shared a drink, and he was rather forthcoming. Without prompt he was more than happy to explained how Ciri came to be under his protection. She was able to best a werewolf and saved a child and a man in the process. That man was quick to led her here to Crows Perch, in hopes of a reward for finding the Barons ‘daughter’. But practically in mid sentence, he changed the subject and I knew what that meant.
