Magic Lamp
Keira led me down a hall opposite of the exit for the Mage’s Laboratory where we came face to face with yet another riddle. This time a close door with writing on it. On either side of the door were two statues, four all together, each one slightly different from the others.
Four guardians, four flames, standing proud in a line. The first to light his fire dared not march on the end. The second by the first played a woeful lament. The third kept close to his faithful beast. The fourth marched not besides the first yet like the second played a tune and thus they stood over their queen who slept under the flickering stars.
We lit the flames of the third statue who stood with nothing. Then the second who played an instrument standing closest to the first. The third statue was the one on the end, with only a dog; and the fourth, or the first statue who both played an instrument and had a dog. Lit in this order the stone door opened. Keira found her Magic Lamp and we were finally able to leave the underground maze.
