Assignment Three

Drawing Boxes in Three Point Perspective

When drawing a box in Three Point Perspective, we start our box on a corner and build from there. With three vanishing points, each plane will have to recede towards one of those vanishing points.

Start by drawing one line from your selected corner towards each vanishing point. From here, you need to establish the first plane, I like to start with either the top or bottom plane; whichever is closest to the horizon line. Use one line from the left and one from the right vanishing points to create your bottom plane.

Next connect each of your new corners to the top vanishing point. Here you’ll have to decide how tall you want your box to be and establish the top plane of your box.

To finish your assignment, fill up a whole page with three point boxes.

Don’t forget to clean up your work and submit it for feedback.
