ASSIGNMENT THREE
Planes and Circles in Three Point Perspective
For this Assignment you are going to practice drawing circles in three point perspective. Start by establishing your three vanishing points. Two on the horizon line, and one opposite it. It doesn’t matter where you put the horizon line, as long as it is located near the edge of the page and be sure to place the third Vanishing Point on the opposite edge.
Rather than the vertical lines of your planes being parallel to one another, all four lines bordering the plane will have to recede towards a vanishing point. Trace your verticals back towards one, and your horizontal lines towards another.
Follow through by once again by dividing the planes with an X and then using the vanishing points to draw in the appropriate angle for the vertical, and horizontal centers.
Although the squares are oddly shaped, drawing the ellipses remains the same as before, even though the final result will appear askew compared to the other Assignments.
