The Grid Technique
As shown in the previous video, you can break down a plane to create an unlimited number of reference points, or as many as are necessary for your goals. That means that you can continue to break down the entire plane until you have exactly what you need, or you can add cross sections and additional points of reference in various locations to guide you when, and where you need them.
You are going to use the same process as in our previous exercises by dividing the plane - connecting opposite corners to make our familiar X pattern. Then, use the X to find the center of each division and draw in vertical and horizontal lines through the center of each X you create. Continue to divide your plane, until you get the same results as pictured above, which has been divided three times.
